About the Role

Advantage Group is a highly regarded and expanding organization in the new home construction sector. We are currently seeking a Planning Strategy Lead to enhance our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee planning matters in accordance with the Town and Country Planning Act to align with the company's development goals and optimize project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable planning regulations.
  • Develop and maintain a timeline for the fulfillment of planning conditions.

Technical Proficiency:

Utilize Photoshop for color sketching plans, creating planning drawings, and producing 3D visuals. Employ AutoCAD for generating site plans, materials plans, and various architectural drawings as required.

Project Management:

Participate in evaluating potential development opportunities, overseeing the preparation of working drawings and schematics for land and development assessments.

Ensure timely submission of all planning applications, considering external factors such as approval timelines and local consultation needs.

Facilitate the efficient processing of statutory approvals to align with the company's development and construction schedules, aiming for additional planning benefits.

Consultant Coordination:

Engage and manage external consultants as necessary, ensuring compliance with appointment terms and timely delivery of all required documentation.

Advisory Role:

Provide expert guidance on all planning-related issues, managing the release of planning conditions and addressing challenges to meet sustainability objectives while safeguarding the commercial integrity of projects.

Communication and Collaboration:

Coordinate the dissemination of key planning updates, status reports, and activity plans to support effective project management across all departments.

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with all internal teams, particularly Construction, Sales, and Commercial, to facilitate effective collaboration in resolving planning challenges.

Company Representation:

Act as a representative of Advantage Group, enhancing the company's professional reputation and fostering productive partnerships with key external stakeholders, especially local authorities.

Health and Safety Compliance:

Adhere to the company's Health and Safety and Environmental Policies, ensuring all practices align with established guidelines.

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and inspire team members to achieve high performance, demonstrating a commitment to best practices and the continuous professional development of the team.
