We are currently seeking an experienced Area Service Manager to join our client's growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to take on a leadership role and drive the success of the service operation.
About the Area Service Manager Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of field-based engineers and a small office-based team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving business growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining high levels of health and safety within the service department environments
- Carrying out regular team meetings and appraisals to ensure visibility of performance and employee engagement
- Managing engineer productivity, asset upkeep, customer satisfaction, fleet spend/parts authorizations, and PM schedules
- Ensuring staff training is carried out in-line with company guidelines and employee requirements
Requirements
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need:
- A technical background from within materials handling or a similar industry
- Organized and driven individual with previous management and leadership experience
- Ability to motivate and organize teams and individuals while promoting communication and performance
- A focus on customer requirements and expectations, with the ability to meet or exceed these from an individual and team perspective
- Commercial outlook and mindset, which facilitates profitable growth of the service operation and wider depot
