At Transport UK London, we're on a mission to be the best bus operator in London. We're looking for a talented Stores Assistant to join our Engineering Department at our Hayes Depot.

The successful candidate will assist our Engineering Storekeepers and the Stores function to ensure smooth and efficient operations. If you're passionate about growth and want to be part of our journey, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role:

  • Manage wet and dry stock to ensure holding and use align with budgets and forecasts, complying with Company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Order and receive goods, package dirty components for return to suppliers, restock shelves, and maintain a clean and tidy workplace.
  • Develop and maintain content in line with brand guidelines and deliver it on time.
  • Conduct daily fuel dips and deliveries.
  • Provide daily delivery or collection of parts from other Transport London UK Depots, including moving parts from our overstock/float depot.
  • Support Stores projects to ensure they run efficiently and professionally.
  • Participate in 6 monthly and annual Stock counts.
  • Understand and follow engineering materials budgets set by the Purchasing & Inventory Manager and the local Fleet Manager.

The Candidate:

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
  • Full driving licence required.
  • Ability to work well with others and good organisational skills.
  • Good time keeping and highly reliable.
  • Background within PSV Bus operational workshop environment.
  • Stores experience preferred but not essential, training provided.
