Senior Manager, Credit Portfolio Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Credit Portfolio Management to join our team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Credit Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for providing first-line oversight of the inherent risks associated with our Wealth Management Europe loan portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the broader Credit team, Compliance, Legal, Supervision & Oversight, and other key partners to identify, design, structure, document, deliver, and monitor credit product solutions.
- Ensure effective collaboration between teams, including Credit, Group Risk Management, Compliance, Supervision & Oversight, and Group Legal, locally and globally, as well as broader WME units.
- Support the Director, Credit Portfolio Management, and the team in working with S&RM, RBCBD, and broader WME Credit Specialist team to deliver strategic initiatives, including credit underwriting and risk analysis of borrowers and transactions, to drive growth in the credit book.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improved business operations, partnerships, and client satisfaction, ensuring continued alignment of the credit portfolio with Wealth Management business and risk strategies and risk policies and procedures.
- Participate in and contribute to strategy development, working with leadership across Global Products & Strategy team to contribute to the growth/development of the Credit book.
- Assess the range of Credit solutions required by clients and respond to the needs of clients and sales teams to ensure a competitive and compelling proposition.
- Contribute to the development of Return on Equity (ROE) at a book level and other P&L analytics.
- Support the design and roll-out of competitive and innovative Credit products for HNW and Mass Affluent clients within Wealth Management/geographical target parameters.
- Strong knowledge and experience of investment-backed lending.
- Experience with securities analysis, including stress testing, Value-at-Risk (VaR), etc.
- Experience in implementing and writing policy and/or procedures and/or designing processes.
