Senior Harness Technician

At Gordon Murray Automotive, we design and manufacture innovative automotive systems that push the boundaries of performance and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the workshop manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the harness workshop.
  • Assist with complex, first-time builds and prototypes, applying expertise to drive quality and efficiency.
  • Pick and manage stock parts required for assembly, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Raise build-related issues, deviations, and continuous improvement opportunities with the line manager.
  • Provide guidance and advice to trainee technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and development.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, documentation, tools, and products, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Conduct line inspections to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the company to deliver a quality product and service to customers on time and in full.
  • Adhere to procedures and processes to meet day-to-day business requirements, quality, and health and safety standards.
  • Achieve effective continuity of agreed deadlines through flexible working patterns.

Actively participate in training activities provided by the company to ensure all high-quality build standards are met and continuously improved.

Requirements
  • Previous extensive experience across multiple OEM and system 25 harnesses (motorsport/aerospace)
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Cirris or another electrical harness testing software experience
