Job Overview
The role of the Financial Reporting and Accounting Manager is pivotal in assisting senior management to effectively deliver services across a diverse range of corporate clients. Your primary focus will be on intricate financial reporting and consolidation tasks, while also managing a select group of corporate and not-for-profit clients.
An essential aspect of this position involves collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure that client service standards are upheld at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consistently demonstrating exemplary client service principles.
- Oversee a limited portfolio of corporate clients, ensuring adherence to the established internal budget and addressing any significant issues identified during assignments.
- Organize assignments in line with the firm's standard operating procedures, confirming arrangements with clients, including anticipated costs and billing practices.
- Provide ongoing feedback to junior team members to support their development.
- Cultivate and maintain a high level of technical expertise through relevant reading and training, fulfilling the continuing professional development (CPD) requirements of professional bodies.
- Ensure that assignments are executed in accordance with instructions, efficiently managing complex aspects of each task while adhering to the firm's procedures.
- Offer adequate briefing, supervision, and training for junior staff, reviewing their work for thoroughness and accuracy.
- Undertake any additional duties within the scope and spirit of the role as requested by management.
Essential Qualifications:
- Fully qualified ACA / ACCA.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK financial reporting standards.
- Experience in managing complex consolidations.
- Ability to demonstrate commercial insight and add value.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed people management capabilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Corporate Taxation.
