Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is collaborating with a prominent contractor based in South Wales, who is in search of a Quality Assurance Manager to enhance their team.

Our client is a dynamic civil and marine engineering services provider, dedicated to offering tailored solutions for contemporary engineering challenges.

As the Quality Assurance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead and mentor the quality inspection teams, while closely collaborating with the Operations Director to foster the growth and development of the business.

This role will necessitate on-site presence for conducting assessments and site visits, where you will engage with clients. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a driven individual looking to progress in their career.

Key Responsibilities:


Overseeing a team of structural inspectors and surveyors to efficiently allocate resources and meet or surpass project timelines and budgets.

Maintaining continuous communication with clients throughout all stages of projects.
Drafting cost proposals and tenders.
Preparing essential documentation.
Conducting inspections of various structures, including culverts, bridges, and retaining walls.
Leading and advising inspection teams.
Recruiting and managing specialist subcontractors.
Preparing and reviewing comprehensive reports, BCI pro-formas, CAD drawings, and defect schedules.
Managing complex, unique projects.

Qualifications:
A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or other relevant fields will be considered).
Chartered Engineer status, or actively pursuing it (ongoing support will be provided).
Extensive experience in planning and executing detailed structural inspections (preferably of bridges, culverts, and retaining walls) and investigations.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Detail-oriented and conscientious.
Professional and confident communication abilities.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Skilled in IT applications, particularly MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Familiarity with AutoCAD.
A collaborative team player, capable of guiding others.
Ability to produce clear and professional inspection reports.
Solid technical knowledge of construction materials and their common defects.
Willingness to work outdoors, including in waterways and confined spaces.
Comfortable in confined environments.
Competent swimmer.
Possession of a full UK driver's license.
Willingness to travel for work and occasionally stay away from home.
