Job Title: Assessment Development Manager

Our client, a membership organisation, is seeking an experienced Assessment Development Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of assessment processes for apprenticeships.

About the Role

As the Assessment Development Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while leading the development and delivery of robust, valid, and reliable assessments.

You will maintain and implement a comprehensive Assessment Delivery Strategy for EPA, collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to continuously improve the quality and reliability of assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the creation of fair, reliable, and consistent marking structures, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility
  • Ensure assessments are a true measure of learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviours
  • Effectively lead the EPA Assessment team
  • Develop a programme to continuously develop and test the validity of assessment materials
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that assessments are relevant, reliable, and aligned with industry needs
About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • At least five years' experience in a management role in an engineering or technical environment, supported by relevant qualifications and good understanding of assessment methodologies, policy, and practice
  • Experience of the design, development, and delivery of a variety of assessments
  • Experience of developing, designing, and delivering online assessments using proctor software
  • A high level of expertise in Ofqual Conditions of Recognition, IfATE, and ESFA
  • An extensive background in managing quality assurance functions within a regulated Awarding Organisation
