Assessment Development Manager

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Assessment Development Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of assessment processes for apprenticeships. As a key member of our team, you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards and lead the development and delivery of robust, valid, and reliable assessments within the engineering sector.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a comprehensive Assessment Delivery Strategy for End Point Assessment (EPA)
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to continuously improve the quality and reliability of assessments
- Oversee the creation of fair, reliable, and consistent marking structures, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility
- Ensure assessments are a true measure of learners' knowledge, skills, and behaviours
- Effectively lead the EPA Assessment team
- Develop a programme to continuously develop and test the validity of assessment materials
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that assessments are relevant, reliable, and aligned with industry needs
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- At least five years of experience in a management role in an engineering or technical environment, supported by relevant qualifications and a good understanding of assessment methodologies, policy, and practice
- Experience of the design, development, and delivery of a variety of assessments
- Experience of developing, designing, and delivering online assessments using proctor software
- A high level of expertise in Ofqual Conditions of Recognition, IfATE, and ESFA
- An extensive background in managing quality assurance functions within a regulated Awarding Organisation
