Your Role:

  • As a specialized Sales Engineer focused on maritime solutions, you will be pivotal in driving our business expansion.
  • Collaborating closely with the customer-facing sales team, you will assess the unique needs of our maritime clients and align them with effective Eutelsat services.
  • Your extensive engineering expertise and consultative approach will empower our distribution partners and maritime clients to deliver optimal solutions.
  • This position is crucial for our revenue enhancement, supporting the commercial team in expanding our footprint in the maritime industry.
  • Your responsibilities will encompass comprehensive technical support, leading sales demonstrations, influencing market demands, and driving sales initiatives.
  • Our Sales Engineers are innovative, dedicated, and professional, thriving in collaborative environments with sales, product, and engineering teams while engaging with clients to grasp their service requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical pre-sales support to promote Eutelsat's offerings to maritime customers.
  • Engage with key clients to shape the early phases of the sales process, qualify prospects, and refine Eutelsat's product and service portfolio.
  • Utilize your technical acumen and analytical capabilities to address customer inquiries regarding system performance, network integration, and competitive advantages.
  • Act as the technical authority and solutions engineer for Eutelsat products and services, essential to our commercial efforts.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to execute projects, ensuring a solid grasp of the technical requirements for maritime clients and integration with onboard systems.
  • Communicate the capabilities of the Eutelsat global network to potential clients and assist in capturing evolving market needs.
  • Contribute to bid teams by providing logical, technically sound, and commercially compelling responses to RFPs and RFIs.
  • Design and oversee customer demonstrations, including developing scenarios for common use cases and pre-service trials.
  • Engage with key end-users to educate them on the essential features of Eutelsat's products and services.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering robust technical solutions to maritime clients.
  • Strong understanding of maritime use cases and requirements.
  • Familiarity with communications networks, particularly in the context of maritime integration.
  • Awareness of installation challenges in maritime environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Commercially savvy with strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of influencing customer interactions.
  • Creative and solution-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSc/BEng in a relevant technical discipline (Electrical/Electronic Engineering/ Telecommunications/Computer Sciences).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Sales Engineering or Support role.
  • Insight into the maritime sector; experience in the satellite communications industry is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and build regional market insights.
