Job Purpose

The Site Coordinator at MSC Cruises is responsible for ensuring the construction and outfitting of shipbuilding areas comply with international regulations, ship contracts, and technical specifications. This role involves inspecting construction phases, controlling material quality, and identifying discrepancies. The Site Coordinator must also record and share lessons learned to improve future projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure construction areas are built within set timescales and meet approved architectural designs, contractual requirements, and functional requisites.

• Attend daily inspections for steel, hull, safety insulation, coating and painting, and HVAC and piping to ensure construction requirements are respected.

• Verify that all materials used are compliant with specifications and of suitable quality for intended use, approved by class and relevant authorities.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities and inspections.

• Attend project meetings with Yard representatives and prepare related MOMs and progress reports.

• Highlight aspects of approved designs that can be improved for future constructions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Fluency in English and Polish, with knowledge of Italian or French a plus.

• Relevant degree or significant experience in shipbuilding or equivalent field.

• Substantial experience in delivering inspections of hull and steel, safety, painting, HVAC, and piping on shipbuilding and refitting projects.

• Good knowledge of SOLAS, IACT47, VSP, and Shipsan manuals.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Marine Rules and International Standards and Regulations.

• Ability to review new building specifications and drawings and to read and understand engineering drawings.

• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and a 'can-do' attitude.

VISA Requirements

Right to work in Poland and ability to travel around Europe.
