Housekeeping Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Housekeeping Services Department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain the required standard of cleaning services following established procedures and frequencies.
- Undertake a variety of cleaning duties in line with ward/area/location cleaning schedules, including operating specialist equipment.
- Carry out specialist cleaning and one-off cleaning duties as required by supervisors.
- Ensure a general, pleasant, and well-maintained environment for service users.
- Support the supervisor on a day-to-day basis and assist with the induction and training of new employees.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, including keeping accurate records.
- Participate in cleanliness audits and follow up on actions as required.
- Take a personal duty of care for all equipment used in the role and report any misuse or faulty equipment to the appropriate person.
- Basic knowledge of chemicals and cleaning products.
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
