About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Facilities Assistant - Housekeeping to join our team at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Housekeeping Services department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain the required standard of cleaning services following established procedures and frequencies.
- Undertake a variety of cleaning duties in line with ward/area/location cleaning schedules, including operating mechanical cleaning equipment.
- Replenish disposables and consumables, and safely store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Carry out specialist cleaning and one-off cleaning duties as required, and assist with laundry duties as needed.
- Support the supervisor on a day-to-day basis, and assist with the induction and training of new employees.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, including keeping accurate records.
- Participate in cleanliness audits and follow up actions as required.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of chemicals and cleaning products.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
