Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Housekeeping team as a Facilities Assistant. This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain the required standard of cleaning services following established procedures and frequencies.
  • Undertake a variety of cleaning duties in line with ward/area/location cleaning schedules, including operating mechanical cleaning equipment.
  • Replenish disposables and consumables, and safely store cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Carry out specialist cleaning and one-off cleaning duties as required, and assist with laundry duties as needed.
  • Support the supervisor on a day-to-day basis, and assist with the induction and training of new staff members.
Requirements
  • Basic knowledge of chemicals and cleaning products.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
