Purpose of the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Occupational Health Nurse to join our new McLaren Performance Hub (MPH) team. Based at the McLaren Technology Centre, the successful candidate will provide a high-quality Occupational Health Service to the entire Racing Team.

The aim of McLaren's new MPH is to elevate the health and wellbeing of the entire Racing Team, driving performance through a best-in-class facility that includes an on-site medical centre and gym.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive Occupational Health Service, encompassing new starter screening, health surveillance, immunizations, annual wellness screenings, race team specific assessments, executive health checks, blood tests, and all employee wellness initiatives.
  • Manage the surveillance screening escalation pathway effectively.
  • Contribute to the overall health and wellbeing of employees by collaborating with the MPH team to design and deliver impactful health promotion activities.
  • Promote high standards of health and safety among employees, ensuring compliance with current legislation.
  • Assess and mitigate clinical hazards and risks within the workplace.
  • Collaborate with MSK and mental health teams to provide both reactive and preventive wellness intervention programs.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of employees, including those with diverse or complex presentations, utilizing strong clinical reasoning skills.
  • Maintain professional and legal accountability for all aspects of your work.
  • Develop individualized client-centered objectives and plans for employees.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on occupational health matters to management and employees.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Health Nurse with:

  • A recognized qualification in Occupational Health Nursing.
  • Significant experience in providing comprehensive occupational health services within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
