Principal Linux Engineer Role

Location: Central London (On-site 3-4 days a week)

Compensation: £100,000 - £140,000 Base + Stock Options

83Zero Ltd is collaborating with an innovative and rapidly expanding AI Solutions firm that is transforming enterprise software infrastructure. They are in search of a Principal Linux Engineer who possesses a deep passion for technology, excels in tackling intricate challenges, and is keen to contribute significantly to the realm of AI and enterprise solutions.

In the capacity of Principal Linux Engineer, you will serve as the primary product authority, undertaking a crucial role in everyday technical operations and escalations. By working closely with clients on-site, you will guarantee the smooth integration and support of state-of-the-art AI infrastructure. Your expertise will also play a vital role in pre-sales initiatives, technical consultations, and customer deployments, positioning you as a key contributor to the organization's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • On-site presence at client locations in London (3-4 days a week)
  • Responsible for executing daily technical operations and escalations, including direct engagement with technical support issues until resolution
  • Facilitate customer installations, upgrades, and expansions
  • Conduct regular customer review meetings on a monthly or quarterly basis
  • Act as a Trusted Advisor to both the customer’s technical team and the internal account team
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to ensure comprehensive adoption of products by customers

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in customer-facing, post-sales roles involving complex storage solutions
  • Proficient knowledge and hands-on experience in standard Linux system administration tasks and the Linux operating system
  • Solid understanding of networking principles, along with practical experience in network configurations on Linux and troubleshooting
  • Experience in scripting and programming, with proficiency in bash scripting and familiarity with one or more additional programming languages
  • Extensive experience in file systems and scale-out NAS implementation
