About the Role

Merrifield Consultants is partnering with a leading Health Charity to find a skilled Donor Engagement Executive. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with industry leading companies and major donors to deliver high-income gifts and innovative partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of mid-level donors to generate vital income for the Health charity's services, salaries, special initiatives, and occasional capital and equipment costs.
  • Lead prospect research for the Fundraising team, implementing a consistent approach to research and record-keeping, and managing annual subscriptions for online research tools and memberships.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to gather the Health charity's information, such as patient case studies and service updates, to create engaging, accurate, and timely content for donor communications, impact reports, and fundraising proposals.
  • Work with marketing colleagues on the Health charity's new Regular Giving programme, contributing to key messages and donor communications, and addressing supporter queries to uplift regular givers to mid-level or beyond.
  • Develop and implement solicitation plans for mid-level prospects and donors, ensuring there are steps in place to keep fundraising conversations moving forward.
Requirements
  • A track record of planning, meeting with, cultivating, and asking donors for gifts at 4-figure level or above or sector equivalent.
  • Experience in stewarding donors effectively and developing a programme of engagement activities.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills, with a good grasp of creating compelling copy for different purposes and audiences.
  • Proficiency in using a CRM system (Salesforce or similar) for record-keeping, queries, reports, and mailings, and the ability to use data analysis to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Experience in organizing meetings, site visits, presentations, and occasional events to build donor engagement.
