Clinical Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to join our Respiratory Department at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Senior Team Leader and Administration Manager, ensuring the efficient running of outpatient clinics and waiting lists in respiratory.
Main Responsibilities- Coordinate and book all respiratory outpatient clinics, working closely with consultants, nurses, and administration staff.
- Manage the respiratory reception team to deliver a first-class patient experience.
- Prioritize workload, process patient information confidentially, and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Ensure excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, relatives, and health professionals.
- Book appointments via the CaMIS system, manage multiple clinicians' waiting lists, and adhere to Access Policy Protocol and RTT directives.
- Review Choose & Book, Directly Bookable services, and appointments booked by patients online and via GP surgeries.
- Maintain ERS daily and assist with clinic or list coordination to ensure effective time management.
- Provide general administrative services as required by the department.
- Liaise with other hospital departments, GPs, and healthcare agencies when necessary.

Person Specification- Minimum 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English.
- Knowledge of administration duties and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Planning and organizational skills to plan straightforward tasks, some ongoing, arranging meetings and diaries.
- Develop attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work methodically and prioritize.
