Police Staff Investigator PIP Level 1

We are seeking an experienced Police Staff Investigator to join our team at Shared Services Partnership. As a key member of our investigative team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our front-line officers with a wide range of investigative activities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations, including statement taking, securing and reviewing CCTV footage, suspect interviewing, and file building.
- Work collaboratively with our front-line officers to gather and analyze evidence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including witnesses, victims, and suspects.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on investigative techniques and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of investigative strategies and plans.
- Qualified to PIP 1 or 2 or equivalent.
- Proven experience of working in an investigatory role, ideally with a working knowledge and experience of criminal law and criminal justice procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and locations.
