We are seeking an experienced Police Staff Investigator to join our team in Southampton. As a Police Staff Investigator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our front-line officers with investigative activities, including statement taking, CCTV review, suspect interviewing, and file building.
This is a non-case-holding role, and you will work closely with our Criminal Investigation Department to support the investigation of serious and complex crimes. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing reports.
Key Responsibilities- Support front-line officers with investigative activities
- Conduct interviews and gather evidence
- Prepare reports and statements
- Work closely with the Criminal Investigation Department to support the investigation of serious and complex crimes
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Qualified to PIP 1 or 2 or equivalent
- Experience as a Detective or Police Constable, Sergeant, Inspector, or equivalent
- Proven experience of working in an investigatory role
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
