Job Title: Police Staff Investigator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Police Staff Investigator to join our team at Red Snapper Group. As a Police Staff Investigator, you will assist in the investigation of serious and complex crimes, working under the supervision of a PIP 2 investigator.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the investigation of criminal offences and occurrences, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the Record Management System (RMS) and other IT applications.
  • Conduct interviews with suspects in accordance with the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 (PACE) and procedures.
  • Identify, preserve, and present evidence as mandated by law and force procedures, filling any evidential gaps.
  • Gather and develop intelligence effectively, completing appropriate intelligence interviews and submitting pertinent information correctly.
  • Support officers in their development, utilizing your skills and accreditation to enhance their capabilities.
  • Prepare high-quality evidential files for submission to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
