Prospectus is proud to support Leeds Castle in their search for a Fundraising Manager to join their team for a 12-14 month maternity cover period. Located in a stunning historic setting in Kent, Leeds Castle offers a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty.

About the Role

The Fundraising Manager will play a critical role in delivering a funding strategy to support Leeds Castle's ambitious project to safeguard the Castle for the next 900 years. This involves securing funds from trusts, foundations, public bodies, and individuals to support the ongoing care and maintenance of the Castle and Estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet the Castle's funding needs
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including trusts, foundations, and corporate partners
  • Research and identify new funding opportunities, including match funding and grants
  • Collaborate with the Head of Audience Development & Fundraising to drive forward the fundraising strategy
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of fundraising activities and outcomes
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of fundraising experience, with a clear understanding of trust and foundations fundraising. They will be a skilled writer, researcher, and relationship builder, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A good understanding of the charity sector and its funding landscape is essential.

What We Offer

Leeds Castle offers a competitive salary of £45k - £48k, depending on experience, as well as flexible working conditions. This is a hybrid role, requiring some attendance at the Castle in Kent.
