Job Title: Fundraising Manager

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Leeds Castle in their search for a Fundraising Manager (maternity cover) to join their team for a 12-14 month period. Leeds Castle is situated in a beautiful and historic location in Kent, with excellent connections to surrounding cities.

About the Role

The fundraising team at Leeds Castle was established in January 2023 and is responsible for securing funds from trusts, foundations, public bodies, and individuals. The postholder will play a crucial role in delivering a funding strategy to support their new multi-million-pound project 'safeguarding the Castle for the next 900 years'.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive forward the fundraising strategy, strengthen the trusts and foundations pipeline, and apply for match funding opportunities.
  • Work with the Head of Audience Development & Fundraising to secure funding from trusts, foundations, and public bodies.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, donors, and partners.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan, including research, outreach, and proposal writing.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts, making adjustments as needed.
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

Strong knowledge and experience in trust and foundations fundraising, with a clear record of funding achievement.Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and reports.Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and pursue new funding opportunities.Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with funders, donors, and partners.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.What We Offer
