Job Title: Clinical Research Midwife - Band 6

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Research Midwife to join our team at West Middlesex Hospital. As a Clinical Research Midwife, you will play a key role in the delivery of clinical research studies, working closely with our research team to ensure the successful implementation of studies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain informed consent from participants for non-CTIMP studies, ensuring that their information needs are met sensitively and that they have a full understanding of the research study and its requirements.
  • Support participants considering taking part in interventional and observational research, facilitating and maintaining communication between the Principal Investigator, research, and clinical teams.
  • Ensure all Adverse Events are reported in line with the Trust Adverse Events Reporting policy, and facilitate timely reporting to regulatory bodies and Research Networks.
  • Perform all visits, observations, and clinical procedures in accordance with the procedures and schedule of the study protocol.
Requirements:
  • Registered Midwife with post-registration qualification relevant to the area of specialty or equivalent experience.
  • First degree (BSc/BA) and relevant post-reg experience at Band 6 level.
  • Wide variety of practical clinical experience, preferably both ward and clinic-based.
