Support Assistants for Students with Learning Difficulties

Job Summary:

The Additional Learning Support team at eTeach UK Limited is seeking highly skilled and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join our team. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities to access educational and personal development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support learners in the classroom and assist teaching staff to meet the diverse needs of learners in a range of practical and theory-based classes.
  • Build a good rapport with students who may struggle with self-esteem and confidence, helping them to develop new skills and grasp new ideas.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum-based colleagues to help remove barriers to students' learning and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Engage with students, parents/carers, and other stakeholders to provide support and guidance.
  • Keep accurate records of student progress and contribute to the gathering of information for Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) review meetings.

Requirements:

  • Education to at least Level 3 and experience of working with young people and/or adults with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with students, parents/carers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well within a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
