Job Summary:

The Academic Library Liaison Officer will play a key role in supporting the academic community by providing expert knowledge and guidance on the use of online resources. This includes databases, e-journals, e-books, websites, and portals. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of how to exploit these resources to facilitate online research.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert knowledge and guidance on the use of online resources to support academic research.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with academic staff and students to understand their research needs and provide tailored support.
  • Stay up-to-date with new and emerging online resources and technologies to ensure the academic community has access to the latest tools and information.
  • Collaborate with other library staff to develop and deliver training and workshops on the use of online resources.
  • Contribute to the development of library policies and procedures related to online resources.

Requirements:

  • Minimum level 2 or equivalent qualification in literacy and numeracy.
  • Customer service or administrative qualification at Level 2 or above, or willingness to work towards within two years of appointment.
