Inverness, Highland, United Kingdom NHS Highland Full time

NHS Highland is committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment, promoting equality and eliminating unlawful discrimination. Our goal is to have a workforce that truly represents the community we serve, where each employee feels valued and empowered to excel.

The Complex Care Team plays a vital role in supporting children and their families across NHS Highland, providing care and assistance in the home environment and community.

This is a highly rewarding position that enables children and families to access education and receive quality care. As a member of the Complex Care Team, you will accompany children and families during school, hospital appointments, outings, and respite care, providing emotional support and assistance as needed.

As a Nurse Care Specialist, you will work closely with the Senior and other team members to provide comprehensive care and support to children and families. You will also be responsible for training and familiarizing families with the competency framework, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide optimal care.

We welcome newly qualified nurses and those with community care or hospice care experience. As a member of our team, you will receive comprehensive training and support to ensure your success in this role.

The post holder will be expected to be flexible and work a variety of shifts, including day, evening, weekend, and night shifts. Shift patterns and times will be driven by the needs of the children and families we serve.

As a member of the Complex Care Team, you will be required to travel to support the service, and access to a car is essential.
