Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Specialist to join our Complex Care Team in NHS Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care and support to children and their families in the home environment and wider community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accompany children and/or families during school/nursery, hospital appointments/admissions, outings, and respite care
  • Support the training of the complex care team and families
  • Assist the Senior in implementing guidelines and protocols
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide a high standard of care
  • Be flexible and work a variety of day, evening, weekend, and night shifts
Requirements
  • Newly qualified nurses or those with community care/hospice care experience are desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel to support the service
  • Access to a car is essential

Working Hours

NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period.
