Diabetes Specialist Nurse Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our diabetic specialist nursing team in NHS Highland.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to develop and deliver specialist education, care, advice, and information to people with diabetes in the Highland region.

  • Support the Band 7 Diabetes Specialist Nurses in the provision of care to people using insulin pump therapy and young adults.
  • Contribute to the inpatient specialist nurse service and support diabetes care for women during pregnancy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be a first-level registered nurse with professional knowledge and clinical expertise in nursing, attained either through a relevant degree or proven in-depth knowledge and skills in this specialty area.

  • Post-registration diabetes-related courses or a willingness to undertake these would be advantageous.
  • Evidence of training in delivering education would be beneficial.
