About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a Consultant in Pulmonary and General Medicine, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist opinion and care to patients with a range of respiratory and general medicine conditions
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement clinical guidelines and protocols to improve patient outcomes
  • Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of research and education programs

Requirements

  • MRCP UK (or equivalent) and entry on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register
  • Experience in teaching and training, with evidence of postgraduate teaching qualification
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and staff
  • Information technology skills and ability to use electronic patient records
