About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Midwifery Practitioner to join our team as an Operational Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality maternity services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the midwifery team with a helicopter view of all midwifery settings, ensuring effective redeployment of staff to meet changing service demands.
  • Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and projects to improve the quality of care and services.
  • Collaborate with the midwifery leadership team to identify and address areas for improvement.
  • Provide leadership and support to the midwifery team, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Registered midwife on the relevant part of the NMC Register.
  • Diploma or degree in midwifery.
  • Leadership experience and training.
  • Management experience and training.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Masters of equivalent education.
  • Professional Midwifery Advocate.
  • Physical examination of the newborn assessor.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Understanding of specialist area.
  • Staff and resource management experience.
  • On call-management experience.
  • Report writing skills and experience.
