About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Midwifery Practitioner to join our team as an Operational Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with us and contribute to the delivery of high-quality maternity services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the midwifery team with a helicopter view of all midwifery settings, ensuring effective redeployment of staff to meet changing service demands.
  • Develop and implement policies, guidelines, and projects to improve the quality of care and patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the midwifery leadership team to identify and address areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance the service.
  • Provide leadership and support to the midwifery team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Registered midwife on the relevant part of the NMC Register.
  • Diploma or degree in midwifery.
  • Leadership experience and training.
  • Management experience and training.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to network and build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing deadlines.
  • Proven skills and knowledge in all areas of midwifery clinical practice.
  • Experience of introducing change to a clinical environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict and difficult conversations.
