Position Overview

As a Senior Psychiatric Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare facility, located in the East Midlands. This position offers a competitive salary of £160,000 for a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

About Us

Our organization operates a specialized 28-bedded acute and psychiatric intensive care unit dedicated to female patients. We collaborate closely with NHS partners to provide tailored care packages that address the unique needs of our patients, particularly in managing distressing behaviors. Our multidisciplinary team, which includes psychologists and occupational therapists, is committed to implementing positive behavioral support strategies that empower patients to develop effective coping mechanisms.

Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will oversee the 10-bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and work alongside a dedicated medical team. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with families and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Striving for reduced hospital stays and facilitating community reintegration when appropriate.
  • Providing expert psychiatric care and guidance to the medical staff.
