Land Referencing Specialist

We invite you to become a part of our newly established centralized Land Referencing team within Fisher German's expanding Infrastructure Services division.

With over two decades of experience in delivering land referencing services for a variety of projects, Fisher German is seeking a dedicated professional to join our independent Land Referencing team.

This team will engage in significant projects as well as smaller land referencing initiatives, employing a cohesive approach and standardized practices across all tasks.

Collaborating closely with the Project Delivery and GIS teams, our Land Referencing team plays a crucial role in providing thorough land referencing to support Development Consent Orders (DCOs), Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs), or Transport and Works Act Orders (TWAOs).

Utilizing specialized tools and systems, the team delivers land referencing services to clients while fostering strong relationships with landowners.

We are in search of a Land Referencing Specialist with GIS expertise to join our team and fulfill our clients' requirements.

This is a full-time role based in our office with occasional travel to various locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Updating Geospatial layers for significant projects.
  • Managing Geospatial layers within web mapping and mobile applications for major initiatives.
  • Applying land referencing methodologies and processes to facilitate project execution.
  • Assisting with mail merges, including operating tools and processes.
  • Creating notices and associated plans for land notifications.
  • Data management, including interpretation and analysis of all land-related data and reporting.
  • Consolidating results from title due diligence.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the book of reference, particularly in land plan creation.
  • Supporting the team with on-site contact referencing as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, or a related field focused on land.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in land referencing or GIS on major projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in GIS with experience using Esri software.
  • Valid driving license.
