The Electrical and Electronic Systems division is on the lookout for a dedicated and skilled Lead Control Systems Engineer to spearhead the creation of model-based control software, focusing on the early stages of the development cycle.

If you possess a background in the automotive sector, along with expertise in Simulink and Matlab, and are familiar with the V-model, this role presents an exceptional opportunity for career advancement.


Key Responsibilities as Lead Control Systems Engineer:
- Act as the principal technical authority for model-based control software and embedded systems.
- Design and oversee the development of drivetrain software and torque control functionalities.

- Analyze logical architectures, requirements, and Functional Safety (FuSa) criteria, transforming these into software specifications, frameworks, solutions, and relevant documentation.

- Evaluate software frameworks and solutions.
- Define and assess Human-System Interfaces (HSI) and control systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers to deliver effective solutions, including:
- APIs for hardware abstraction layers, board support packages, and foundational software.
- Appropriate operating systems.
- Accurate estimations for microcontroller loading.
- Memory requirements and other essential resources.

- Continuously enhance and support the comprehensive lifecycle control systems process applicable to chassis, powertrain, driveline, suspension, or HMI systems.

- Manage control software to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and working groups as necessary.
- Collaborate with the testing and validation team to ensure comprehensive Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and testing coverage.
- Maintain traceability of software components within the Model-Based Control Systems (MBCS).
- Participate in and share insights from industry seminars and conferences.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed by management.

Qualifications and Skills as Lead Control Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in model-based engineering, ideally within the automotive field.
- Proven track record in leading full V-Cycle development, encompassing control theory, requirements management, and test case creation.
- High proficiency in Matlab Simulink for logic development, auto-coding, and debugging on target hardware.
- Strong expertise in vehicle communication systems (CAN, LIN) design, development, and simulation/analysis tools.
- Proficiency in embedded systems and electronics.
- Solid understanding of system engineering principles, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Capability to mentor junior engineers and lead work product review meetings.
