Lead Battery Systems Engineer - Electric Vehicle Technology

As part of our ongoing expansion in the battery technology sector, we are looking for a skilled Lead Battery Systems Engineer to enhance our team.

Role Summary:

In the capacity of Lead Battery Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design and advancement of electric vehicle battery systems. Your role will encompass the leadership of conceptual design, engineering, and development of state-of-the-art battery solutions, with a focus on improving performance, efficiency, and dependability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design and conceptualization of electric vehicle battery systems, prioritizing performance, energy density, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility assessments and analyze emerging battery technologies, materials, and production methodologies.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to ensure seamless integration of battery systems into vehicle architectures.
  • Design and refine battery pack structures, thermal management systems, and control mechanisms to achieve performance and reliability benchmarks.
  • Execute simulations, analyses, and testing protocols to validate battery performance and enhance design specifications.
  • Foster innovation through research and development efforts aimed at enhancing battery efficiency, longevity, and environmental sustainability.
  • Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in battery engineering, specifically within the electric vehicle sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of battery chemistry, cell architecture, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Expertise in battery modeling and simulation software (e.g., COMSOL, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS), thermal control, and safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret data to inform design choices.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across various disciplines.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, particularly in managing technical projects or teams.
