Job Title: Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Psychiatric Liaison Service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of clinical services, ensuring that all patients receive evidence-based care and treatment. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive assessments, interventions, and support to patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of clinical services, ensuring that all patients receive evidence-based care and treatment.
  • Provide comprehensive assessments, interventions, and support to patients and their families.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote high-quality care and patient safety.
Person Specification
  • Completion of nursing qualification and active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  • 2 years of experience as a band 6.
  • Experience of working in Psychiatric Liaison Services.
  • Extensive experience of working with people with complex, acute mental health needs and challenging behaviors.
  • Nursing prescriber.
  • Approved Mental Health Professional.
  • Experience of working in a leadership role.
