Job Title: Travel Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Travel Consultant to join our team at Hays Travel Ltd. As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for ensuring the profitability of our foreign exchange bureau and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure profitability of foreign exchange bureau: Monitor and manage foreign exchange sales, targets, and KPIs to ensure the bureau's financial success.
  • Achieve foreign exchange targets: Meet and exceed sales targets, including set KPIs, to drive business growth.
  • Convert customers to purchase: Upsell and cross-sell foreign exchange services to Hays Travel customers.
  • Maximise individual and team sales: Identify and capitalise on sales opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Provide exceptional customer service: Deliver outstanding customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations: Support the team in managing the bureau's day-to-day activities.
  • Increase exposure and develop new business leads: Develop and implement strategies to increase the bureau's exposure and attract new business leads.
  • Use social media to promote offers and generate sales leads: Utilise social media platforms to promote foreign exchange offers and generate sales leads.
  • Maximise opportunities: Follow the foreign exchange sales structure to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Monitor local competition and manage rates and margins: Monitor local competition and manage foreign exchange rates and margins to ensure competitiveness.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure minimum quantities: Monitor foreign currency stock levels and ensure minimum quantities are maintained.
  • Accurate cash reconciliation and banking: Ensure accurate cash reconciliation and banking to maintain financial integrity.
  • Minimise risk and mitigate errors: Identify and mitigate potential risks and errors to ensure the bureau's financial stability.
  • Support Travel colleagues with administrative duties: Assist Travel colleagues with administrative tasks to ensure seamless operations.
  • Responsibility for security of the bureau: Ensure the security of the bureau and its assets.
  • Participate in training and development: Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures: Comply with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety.
  • Treat all employees, customers, and suppliers with dignity and respect: Treat all stakeholders with respect and dignity.

Requirements:

  • Good accuracy and numerical skills: Possess good accuracy and numerical skills to manage foreign exchange sales and targets.
  • Excellent administration and organisational skills: Demonstrate excellent administration and organisational skills to manage day-to-day operations.
  • Effective communication and customer service experience: Possess effective communication and customer service experience to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Competent IT skills: Demonstrate competent IT skills to utilise social media platforms and manage foreign exchange sales.
