Your new role
We are actively seeking dedicated Business Travel Consultants, This role is ideal for individuals who are goal-oriented and excel in a target-driven environment. Our consultants play a critical role and are expected to handle and manage high-volume client interactions efficiently, consistently aiming to surpass our established service goals.
You will be joining us as an Business Travel expert with strong knowledge and experience of Galileo
As one of our experienced Business Travel Consultants you will be booking Domestic & International travel requirements, arranging both routine and complex travel for air, rail, car, and Hotel accommodation.
What you need to succeed
You must be a clear and confident communicator with confidence in dealing with people at all levels. You'll need to possess great organization and time management skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to own & manage your own workload and it is essential you have
previous Business Travel Consultant experience, with working knowledge of airline, rail fares and ticketing.
In the role of a Business Travel Consultant, each day is engaging and full of opportunities. You'll begin by aligning your daily objectives with our performance targets and client needs, setting the stage for a productive day ahead.
Your typical responsibilities will include:
- Booking and managing complex travel itineraries, encompassing air, rail, car, and hotel accommodations using GDS systems such as Galileo.
- Providing tailored travel solutions to clients, ensuring cost-effectiveness and convenience.
- Handling client inquiries, offering expert advice, and resolving any travel-related issues swiftly.
- Continuously updating your knowledge of fare structures, travel regulations, and destination information to offer the best service.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to exceed service levels and meet performance targets.
- Collaborating with team members to share best practices and contribute to a positive, high-achieving environment.
THIS ROLE IS TO START ON 12th AUGUST AND YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND OUR MANCHESTER INDUCTION
Essential
- Previous 1 year working as a Business Travel Consultant at a TMC to be consider for a remote working, Derby or Stockport offices.
- Leisure travel, hotel, rail or strong customer service experience required as a minimum for Manchester and East Kilbride and other offices
- Strong knowledge of Galileo GDS System is essential requirement for remote working
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to consistently hit targets
- Experience of working in a target performance environment
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines fulfilling SLA Agreements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel – creating and maintaining documents
