Job Title: Commissioning Manager

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join our team at Michael Taylor Search & Selection. As a Commissioning Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our projects.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and driving the commissioning process, leading on-site functional testing, and ensuring effective communication with the project team. You will also be responsible for implementing and managing quality assurance and quality control procedures, issuing weekly commissioning reports, and managing commissioning procedures and RAMS.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the commissioning process with contractors and professional teams, ensuring effective communication and compliance with project processes.
  2. Implement and manage quality assurance and quality control procedures for all aspects of the commissioning process.
  3. Issue weekly commissioning reports and manage commissioning procedures and RAMS.
  4. Attend and report on commissioning and testing activities, ensuring all plant and systems are fully commissioned and inspected in line with contract specifications.
  5. Monitor and advise on commissioning documentation review and sign-off by appointed consultants.
  6. Review commissioning data against design parameters and provide input to project risk register.
  7. Coordinate, plan, and schedule training with the project team and ensure all documentation is created and approved in ample time.
  8. Organise, chair, and minute commissioning meetings, ensuring actions are issued, managed, and closed out.
  9. Review and assist sub-contractors in developing project-related QA/QC documentation.
  10. Write test scripts and integrated systems test scripts, coordinating input from all parties throughout the project.
  11. Witness on-site functional testing of plant, equipment, and systems.
  12. Ensure all appropriate commissioning handover documentation is reviewed and approved prior to handover.
  13. Communicate and deal with commissioning defects properly.
  14. Create and manage handover commissioning checklists and close-out report.
  15. Pass comment on contractors SOO schedules and O&M manuals.
Requirements:
  • Technical engineering excellence in Mechanical, Electrical, or BMS engineering.
