About the Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Commissioning Manager to join our team at Jacobs, a leading provider of professional, technical, and construction services. As a Commissioning Manager, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our nuclear projects in the South of England.

The Role

The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for leading the commissioning team and ensuring the safe and successful delivery of the commissioning phase of our projects. This includes developing and implementing commissioning strategies, managing commissioning arrangements, and ensuring compliance with site license conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety is the highest priority on the project, with a continued strive towards Zero Harm.
  • Develop and implement commissioning strategies, define scope, and own the commissioning plan.
  • Manage commissioning arrangements, ensuring they conform to site license conditions.
  • Prepare and execute commissioning tests, controlling, witnessing, recording, and assessing results.
  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures for commissioning delivery.
  • Participate in the company's digital transformation process, leading the commissioning team to deliver paperless commissioning.
  • Compile handover strategy and support the client in preparation for Active Plant Commissioning and Active Plant Operations.
Requirements
  • 10 years of commissioning experience, with experience in a similar managerial role for either the nuclear industry or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience with completions management systems.
  • Preferred degree or HNC/HND in Engineering related subject.
  • Project management knowledge, preferably APM member.
  • Either a current security clearance at SC level or the ability to obtain SC Clearance.
