Project Commissioning Manager - Quality and Commissioning

SSA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning process across projects commercially and domestically. The successful candidate will report to the Q&C Manager and the Managing Director, taking full responsibility for the daily management of all M&E commissioning activities on projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage specialist subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks
  2. Provide consistent reporting and recording of meetings, utilizing strong computer skills
  3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and other representatives, promoting the company's reputation
  4. Review and approve concise commissioning method statements to ensure compliance
  5. Supervise on-site testing and report on results to stakeholders
  6. Advise on the quality of M&E installations during the installation phase
  7. Establish connections with utility companies to facilitate commissioning
  8. Manage the treatment of water systems to ensure optimal performance
  9. Collaborate with the design team to advise on services linked to specific disciplines
  10. Foster positive relationships among staff and professional team members, including the line manager
  11. Manage trade contractors' obligations to commission and deliver specific services in line with the scope of works
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must hold an industry-recognized qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/installation
  • Desirable: 3+ years of experience as a commissioning manager, with a strong background in commissioning domestic/commercial systems
  • Proven project management experience, with a focus on tracking progress and delivering results
  • Strong ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to analyze data and create reports
