Job Summary:
nGenium is seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to join our team in Northamptonshire. As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating production runs, ensuring quality control, and providing support in innovative development and prototype testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain stock levels of assembled products and component parts
- Coordinate production runs, including quality control
- Record-keeping of supplied systems
- Provide customer support and product repairs
- Prepare work for Production Assistants and ensure they are working efficiently
- Aid in Research & Development work as required
- Respond to requests from the development team
- Assemble electronic hardware through hand-soldering and the use of heat gun & bed
- Test hardware modules and final assembled products
- Write or contribute to product/project documentation
- Perform basic electrical work on products, mainly wiring-related
- Assess and understand customer needs to contribute towards product design
- Possible occasional demonstration of products and concepts to customers
- Maintain an organized workspace
Requirements:
- Able to use laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators
- Able to solder to a high standard, including small pitch SMT components
- Thorough production builds, good practice as a finisher-completer
- Effective communication
- Organized
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with RF
- Experience with low power circuits
- Basic electrical wiring knowledge
- Ability to use a spectrum analyzer
