Maintenance Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at University Partnerships Programme. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and providing a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure the overall condition of our facilities.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, providing excellent customer service to our residents.
- Assist with the movement of furniture, white goods, and other items in a safe and secure manner.
- Conduct regular checks on fire safety equipment, emergency lighting, and other critical systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Report any health and safety issues or concerns to the relevant manager, ensuring that all necessary actions are taken to mitigate risks.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably in a similar environment.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A good understanding of health and safety procedures and protocols, with the ability to identify and report potential hazards.
- Able to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
