Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Assistant to join our team at University Partnerships Programme. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for providing a high level of maintenance and repair services to our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements, to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of our properties to identify and report any maintenance issues or defects.
  • Assist with the maintenance of our buildings, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service to our residents and colleagues, responding promptly to maintenance requests and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with our facilities team to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard and on time.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role, preferably in a similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and residents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, with a safe and responsible approach to manual handling.
