Job Summary

The Improvement Service is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join its team. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organization's financial management is sound and effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process financial transactions, including invoices and payments, with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain financial records.
  • Calculate prepayments and accruals, and prepare financial reports as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve finance team goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in financial operations, including financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including banking and accounting systems.
  • A Disclosure Scotland Certificate is required.

Working Arrangements

The role will involve a blended model of office and home working, with flexible hours to be agreed with the line manager.
