We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Operations Manager to join our team.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily financial operations, coordinating end-of-month tasks with local accounting teams and managing monthly reporting processes.
  • Provide comprehensive financial reporting and analysis for both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
  • Ensure meticulous Balance Sheet reconciliations are conducted accurately and efficiently.
  • Develop and implement systems, processes, and controls to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Represent the Accounting & Finance department in both internal and external audit meetings, effectively communicating financial information and insights.
  • Lead Statutory audits and engage with local authorities and external parties during grant discussions as needed.
  • Provide SOX sign-off for business units, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate closely with regional management to establish and refine processes that support the organization's reporting requirements.
  • Guide and mentor staff members, fostering their professional development through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses as requested by senior management, providing valuable insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated expertise in IFRS accounting standards and a comprehensive understanding of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with effective leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain enduring relationships with non-financial stakeholders across various departments.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, particularly Peoplesoft and Hyperion, is highly beneficial.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, prioritization skills, and a proven track record of meeting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • High levels of integrity and self-assurance, with a mindset focused on continuous process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • A fully qualified Accountant with a CA/ACCA/CIMA certification or equivalent qualification through extensive experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive Post Qualifying Experience (PQE) in relevant financial management roles.
  • Prior exposure to the Life Science or Manufacturing sectors is advantageous.
