Job Title: Chef de Partie

Join our team at CRC Recruitment Ltd as a skilled Chef de Partie, responsible for assisting in the running of the kitchen and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant, outlet, and banquets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Organize and set up the assigned section of the kitchen to increase speed and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure that all dishes from that section are prepared consistently and according to standard recipes.
  • Assist the Sous Chefs and Exec Chef in ensuring that all culinary standards in that section comply with company and hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor food and operating costs and control these by reducing waste.
  • Train kitchen porters in the skills necessary for them to perform their function.
  • Work in any sections of the kitchen when necessary or as requested by the Senior Sous Chef or Exec Chef.
  • Ensure the sanitation standards for the kitchen are being met.
  • Be familiar with all sections of the kitchen to facilitate the flexible use of colleagues.
  • Ensure that operating and kitchen equipment is maintained to a good standard with minimum breakage.
  • Provide fast, friendly, professional, and responsive customer service to the restaurant service delivery team.
  • Ensure that set ticket times are met and communicate to management if not met.
  • Check stations assigned to and check for complete setups.
  • Stay focused and be conscious about food presentation and consistency.
  • Practice proper food handling procedures.
  • Practice proper knife handling skills.
  • Use and apply proper kitchen safety procedures and basic cooking skills.
  • Properly wrap, label, date, and store all food items in their correct areas.
  • Set up, operate, and clean all kitchen machinery/equipment and store it in its proper place.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and handling of equipment, using only as intended and only after proper training has been demonstrated.
  • Efficiently work with materials and/or resources, being aware of and minimizing costs and expenses.
  • Keep the workstation clean at all times during service time.
  • Perform all duties in adherence to all company standards and policy.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary.
  • To attend all required company meetings and training.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • It would be preferable for the Chef de Partie to have previous experience of working within a similar-sized kitchen.
  • You will need excellent organizational skills alongside the ability to work both independently as well as part of a team.
  • It is essential that you can follow instructions while using your own initiative to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment.
