We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Academic Support Specialist to work with students who require additional guidance in secondary schools across Southampton. This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a lasting impact on students' lives, providing targeted support to help them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities:- Offer tailored support and guidance to students who need additional help, including those with behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties.
- Develop individual learning plans and strategies to support students in building confidence, improving academic skills, and managing their emotions.
- Provide 1:1 and small group interventions focusing on literacy, numeracy, and social development.
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to identify students' needs and provide the right level of support.
- Personal Development: Access to a wide range of professional development opportunities, including CPD courses that focus on SEN support and behaviour management.
- Supportive Network: Join a school with a strong focus on student welfare and professional collaboration.
- Dedicated Consultant: A personal recruitment consultant to support your career and placement.
