Senior Site Manager Opportunity

Kier Construction is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Manager to join our North East team, working on a large-scale healthcare project in Sunderland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and direct subcontractor partners to deliver external works packages, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess compliance with programme, design drawings, and quality standards.
  • Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements from subcontractors to ensure safe working practices.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and site inductions to ensure full compliance with Kier standards.
  • Coordinate site logistics, plant, and labor movements, maintaining safety standards.
  • Report any issues or programme slippages to the site/project manager.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate site reports and paperwork.
  • Collaborate with the project team to resolve challenges and ensure project success.

Requirements:

  • Relevant construction qualification (HND/degree, trades accreditation, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in delivering large build projects within the main contracting environment.
  • Sound technical knowledge of external work packages.
  • Track record of ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
  • Hold SMSTS 5-Day Cert, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification.
